The Department of Public Works is scheduled to begin night roadwork in South Kona Sunday, November 15 to apply a leveling course to smooth rough sections in three areas prior to resurfacing Highway 11 scheduled to begin in early December.

The night roadwork schedule is 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday–Thursday. No work scheduled on November 26-27 with work possibly resuming November 29.. Motorists are advised of one- lane closures, delays and that weather conditions can alter the schedule.

Night roadwork from November 15-29 will be from:
Manago Hotel to HELCO station, skipping the intersection at Captain Cook Road;
the Drive Inn (formerly Caps) to the former Kamigaki Market location; resume from the intersection of Haukapila (Hospital) Rd to Mango Court in Kainaliu.
